DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION DA2026/006 LOT 1 & 6 DP1220390-300 RANCH ROAD, TABBITA Council has received a Development Application for a Livestock Intensive Industry (Poultry Production Facility) on Lot: 1 & 6 DP: 1220390, 300 Ranch Road Tabbita. In accordance with s 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Council hereby provides Notice of the proposed development, which will also be assessed as Designated and Integrated development. The name of the applicant is Robert Vojtkiv and the Consent Authority for this development is Carrathool Shire Council, PO Box 12, Goolgowi NSW 2652. The proposed development consists of the construction of seven (7) additional poultry sheds which will each house up to 66,090 birds. The total farm population will be 1,520,070 birds. The proposed development is Designated Development under Schedule 3 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021, as being a livestock intensive industry for the commercial production of birds accommodating more than 250,000 birds. This development is identified as being Integrated Development. The approval authority for Integrated development is NSW Environment Protection Authority under s.43 of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 for a variation to Environment Protection Licence. The Development Application, supporting documents and Environmental Impact Statement, may be inspected at Carrathool Shire Council's Hillston District Office, 139-145 High Street, Hillston or Goolgowi Office, 9-11 Cobram Street, Goolgowi, and is available on Carrathool Shire Council's website, from Thursday 28 August 2025 up until close of business on Wednesday 24 September 2025. Any person may inspect the documents and make written submissions to Carrathool Shire Council concerning this proposed development and if the submission is made by way of objection, the grounds of the objection must be specified in the submission. Any submissions received regarding this Development Application will be considered a public document. Unless the Independent Planning Commission has held a public hearing, a person who objected to the development by making a submission and who is dissatisfied with the determination of the consent authority to grant development consent, may appeal to the Court. If the Independent Planning Commission holds a public hearing, the Commission's determination of the application is final and not subject to appeal.
