HE Silos - Forbes

HE Silos was better known as Hillston Engineering back in 1969 when it first began operations in Hillston, NSW. HE Silos developed throughout the years, evolving from a general engineering company into one of NSW leading silo manufacturing companies. HE Silos grew through the early years from agricultural machinery onto building fabrication and erection of silos. In 1972, the ever-growing demand for silos was evident, so HE Silos moved solely onto the manufacture and maintenance of grain silos. The few years that HE Silos maintained operations in Hillston, it was obvious that they needed to centralize operations into the wheat belt, so in 1984 HE Silos opened a modern factory in Forbes. The factory is still operating and used today. In 1997, HE Silos began operations up north by opening a new factory in Gunnedah, NSW, which allows the company to spread logistics throughout NSW. As the years pasted and demand grew; HE Silos Forbes decided the best way to maintain production was to increase productivity. In 2011, an additional state-of-the-art shed was built in Forbes, which allowed for the smooth transition into a modern vertical integrated value chain and production schedule, whilst adding to the amount of jobs created for the Forbes community.
