The proposed development consists of a 28km earthen flood levee, to protect the existing almond orchards on Yilgah. The levee will vary in size from 0.2m to 2.0m tall and from 5.3m to 12.6m wide, and will be made from clay soil derived from adjacent borrow pits on previously cultivated land. The name of the applicant is Certane CT Pty Ltd and the Consent Authority for this development is Carrathool Shire Council, PO Box 12, Goolgowi NSW 2652. In accordance with s4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the approval authority for Integrated development is Department of Planning and Environment-Water under Chapter 3 Part 3 Division 1 of the Water Management Act 2000 for controlled activity.
